CQ18 – Hello Far North Queensland!
Our first route planning trip is complete and we’re working closely with local councils in the region and Queensland Police to ensure the route for our eight-day tour is simply sublime.
In 2018 BQ will also offer four and three-day ride options to enable more people the chance to explore this fantastic part of Queensland. Just mind the crocs when we kick off in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest?!
For all those hungry for more sneak peek news about the route, on top of swimming at volcanic Lack Eacham and picnics beside Millaaa Millaa falls, we can tell you riders will get the chance to test out the new pump tracks in Port Douglas and Atherton, and have the option to explpreexploring the rail trail between Walkamin and Atherton. We’ll have more news to share in the new year, so stay tuned to the CQ website and our Facebook page!
With 4500m of climbing through the Atherton Tablelands, training will be as important as ever. So don’t get too far behind the eight-ball with triple serves of Christmas pudding over the holidays! On the upside, the descent down towards Cairns is looking like one long, sweet ride, so keep those descending skills polished too.
