Resignation of Bicycle Queensland CEO Anne Savage
The Management Committee of Bicycle Queensland (BQ) regrets to advise members that Chief Executive Officer Anne Savage has resigned, effective from 1 September 2019.
The Management Committee acknowledges Anne’s tireless service to the cause of bicycle riding in Queensland and to BQ.
Anne has made her mark by raising the profile of bicycle riding and BQ across Queensland and the country.
Anne has made significant changes within the organisation to re-shape its internal and external outlook to better position BQ to face current and future challenges.
The Management Committee thanks Anne for her service to BQ and the passion and enthusiasm she has invested in progressing the cause of bicycle riding. Anne is moving on to explore new career opportunities.
The Management Committee has commenced its search for a new CEO and we will provide details on how to apply in the coming days.
We will be working with Anne and the incoming CEO to ensure a smooth and effective transition. BQ remains committed to promoting the recognition of cyclists’ rights, improving cycling infrastructure and safety, and increasing the number of people riding for recreation and transport.
