Appointment of Bicycle Queensland CEO Rebecca Randazzo
The Management Committee of Bicycle Queensland is delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Randazzo as its new Chief Executive Officer following the departure of Anne Savage.
Rebecca joins Bicycle Queensland from an education and sports management background, having most recently been involved in developing and building up her own business providing cycle education, road safety and bicycle skills to schools, community groups, government and corporate organisations.
BQ will benefit from Rebecca’s in-depth understanding of the cycling sector and her proven ability to encourage more people to incorporate cycling as a part of their everyday lives as a means of transport, recreation and sport.
The BQ management committee would like to, once again, convey its appreciation for the hard work of former CEO, Anne Savage, whose tireless advocacy for our members and the wider community greatly contributed to increasing the profile of the organisation, placing BQ in a strong position going forward.
Reflecting on her appointment, Rebecca said: “I am looking forward to steering BQ’s continued growth and profile as the leading cycling voice in Queensland. Building partnerships in order to provide the highest quality of support, services and programs to our members and the wider community will be a priority. Together with the BQ team, I aim to inspire and enable more Queenslanders to cycle more often.”
