BQ is the state’s peak advocacy body for those who ride bikes and scooters, representing 12,000 members and 40,000 supporters. BQ started 45 years ago and has a strong track record of supporting all things cycling in Queensland, particularly around events such as the Brisbane to Gold Coast Ride, as well as a range of “grass roots” activities and advocacy with Bicycle Users Groups across Queensland. We are a small organisation of less than 10 staff and contractors who work closely with the State and local governments, community groups and key stakeholders to fulfill our vision of getting more Queenslanders to rode more often.
