David Kenny: Have worked very well with Logan group. Really wants to carry on with that. Can we help get a transport advisory group together? (Miriam chairs Logan transport advisory group). Use the rail trail as the medium.
Last Wed: Logan city council approved 50:50 w TMR for the rail trail Bethania to Logan Village (3.5km existing). Feasability done Logan V to Jimboomba.
Steve Moriati: Beaudesert to Bethania will go ahead – funding allocated. Council have finished integrated transport plan, incl active transport. Beechmont meeting, number one thing that came up was active transport. Get the local networks right.
Deco is just fine! Best for multi use – ie horses as well
Bikepacking options? Kerry has around 21 places to stay.
Duck Creek Road: closed post 2017 Cyclone Debbie. Michael Enright – how about we open it up for cycling/walking. Council are committed (says Steve). Was a big issue for 4WD access with damage. Gravelled surface.
Bethania rail trail – linked to Jimboomba. Can BQ supply some figures around success?
Canungra Spur rail trail? Feasability likely being done.
Needs a strategic vision for the completed network – what are the pieces? What are the timings? What is the order of processes?
