Set Reminder

Get your costumes ready, light up your bike and join Bicycle Queensland and Pedal Party for Hallowheelin’, a Halloween ride along the Brisbane river on Saturday 31 October.

Hallowheelin’ is all about bringing people together for a fun, colourful and creative night on bikes. Expect costumes, decorated bikes, lights and plenty of Halloween spirit as we roll along some of Brisbane’s central bikeways and shared paths.

Delivered in partnership with Pedal Party, Hallowheelin’ celebrates the simple joy of riding a bike. It doesn’t matter if you’re a regular rider or haven’t been on two wheels for a while. Bring the family, round up some friends and start thinking about how you can give your bike and your costume a spooky makeover!

There’s a serious message behind the fun, too. Halloween brings more families and children onto local streets after dark, making it a great opportunity to remind everyone about sharing our roads and paths safely. Hallowheelin’ aims to promote visibility, courtesy and safe riding while showing just how much fun our streets and bikeways can be when we share them.

The ride will follow a family-friendly route starting and finishing in South Bank, with full route, start location and timing details to be announced.

Hallowheelin’ is for bicycles, including legal e-bikes. It is not an e-scooter event. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and all participants will need to follow Queensland road rules and event conditions.

Costumes encouraged.
Bike decorations encouraged.
Fun is compulsory.

Save the date, start planning your costume and join BQ and Pedal Party for Hallowheelin’ on Saturday 31 October.
