Bicycle Queensland are proud to present a coaching education opportunity, with funding support from the Department of Transport and Main Roads. BQ’s Her Ride program has delivered numerous courses throughout the Greater Brisbane area, aiming deliver safety and skills tuition in a social and supportive setting, mixing social rides with riding tips and creating new networks amongst riders. In partnership with RideTechnics, BQ have developed a Ride Leader training program to train more coaches in the basics of our Her Ride program.
Bicycle Queensland are committed to expanding the Her Ride offering, and are soon entering into a new agreement with the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver Her Ride courses throughout the state over the coming years. To do so we need instructors suitable for the Her Ride program. BQ’s delivery partner, Ride Technics, have put a 2.5 day course together to cover the Ride Leader essentials for the Her Ride program. The course will cover everything from teaching methodology and skills progression, to developing the right group dynamics and making sure all participants are along for the ride.
Participants will gain fundamental coaching about training future Her Ride Program participants through knowledge and skills, and therefore be eligible for coaching employment by Bicycle Queensland for future Her Ride programs in their area.
