The Moreton Bay Region has some of the best foreshore bike paths in South East Queensland. From Scarborough Beach to the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge at Clontarf, riders can enjoy the 11kms of shared paths, ocean views, parks and of course coffee!
While you can start your ride at any point of the cycleway, the best parking spot to entice the kids on a ride is the popular Pirate Park at Scarborough beach. From here, you can cycle 3kms to the Redcliffe Jetty – a great spot for a family photo or a quick stop at the markets on a Sunday.
If you choose too, continue your ride along until the picturesque Settlement Cove Lagoon where in summer you may just want to stop for a quick cool off. Toilets can be found here for a quick swimwear change.
To find out what else is riders can enjoy along the Scarbourough cycleway check our Visit Moreton Bay Region here and plan your family ride!
FOOD: Check out Marvelous Fish and Chips for post ride lunch!
THINGS TO DO: So many options! But the kids will be sure to enjoy Pirate Park, Settlement Cove Lagoon or the markets!
BIKE SHOP: Redcliffe Cycles is close by.
